Walked in around 10AM to get some work done before my group showed up for our 11:30 Lunch Bunch.
It was dead around 10AM, which was perfect for what I wanted to do. PLUS, I got to work in a truly unique and beautiful space. The decor, the colors, the attention to detail was all superb.
The service was absolutely top-notch and you can tell that they truly care about making your experience awesome.
Even though we had a group of 15 or so, we were all served in a timely manner, everything came out how we asked, and we simply just had a really good time.
Will visit again for work and tacos soon!
First time here. It is mostly tacos from what I saw on the menu. Ordered the El Jefe and two Matamoros Street tacos with fajita meat. You order from a counter and then take a seat and your meal is brought out to you. I don’t like that when you pay at the counter and it asks you to add a tip before you are able to evaluate the service. I selected the 18% which amounted to $3,37 and the only service I received was the food brought to my table. No one checked back or made any attempt to interact with me during the meal.
Your food comes out without any utensils so anything that falls out of your taco you have to pick up and eat with your hands so make sure you wash them. Lol
There is also no salt, pepper, salsa, or napkins on the table. You can go back to the counter to get napkins but I didn’t see any of the other items I mentioned anywhere to be found???
The inside was not really clean and I was the only customer for a while so we’re not too busy. My table needs to be wiped down and there were napkins on the floor at my table.
The Matamores was definitely the star of the show in my dinner plate. They fry the outer tortilla with some type of cheese that gives it a unique and delicious flavor. The fillings are pretty good too.
My three tacos, a soda, and an order of fries were $23.64.
Another issue that irked me was the price of the fries on the menu is $2.95 but on my check it was $3.50?? Not a big deal but I do expect the menu to reflect the actual price you will be charged.
Overall it was not bad but and I am glad I tried them out but don’t think I will be back.
We had a variety of dishes here, and they were all great! Specialty tacos, street tacos, and the loaded nachos (pictured) were all amazing. A bit more authentic than a typical taco place, still comforting food, prices aren't bad either. We've already come back multiple times!
Great tacos with a full service bar. TVs to watch games, and very nice people who run the place. They are always quick and fresh
Just happen to see this place from the corner of my eye as I was driving down University Dr. Decided to take a detour to it, and so glad I did! The street tacos were amazing! I got them loaded with queso fresco and avacado. This will be one of my go-to places for sure!
Had the breakfast tacos and they were really good. Only knocked on star off because there was a lack of salt in the food and not near enough grease :) haha. Meaning it didn't feel like hole in the wall breakfast tacos but ultimately they were tasty and felt healthy
Great food and great service, best tacos in town and excellent combinations. I went back a few days ago and they still have an amazing service and great food, hands down may Mexican or taco place to go in college station. I've been a client since 2016!!.
Tasty food. Reasonable price. Nice staff. Good luck with AC fixing.
